10 months after the initial version came out, Veeam Endpoint 1.5 has been released on March 17th.
The new release Veeam Endpoint 1.5 comes with some new, often requested features:
- E-Mail notification
- ad-hoc full backup (without being affected by retention policy)
- new scheduling allows a more individual backup plan and to run backups the next time your computer starts if you missed a previous backup

To update a previous version simply run setup. More installation instructions and tips can be found in the Release Notes.
The RTM comes with in version 1.5.0.306 -> Download here
Did you know: Problems during setup come from your anti-virus software. If you experience any dificulties, first try to disable AV and run setup again.
Also nice to know: You can do a silent update / deployment of the new version, if you are using any deployment tools in your networks. I wrote a few words about it in this article.
Configure the e-mail notification
Here you can see the configuration dialog to set up the e-mail notification. You don’t need to check every endpoint client separately for their status, if they are not using a Veeam Backup & Replication Server as their target (v8 Update 2 minimum):

New possibilities in the schedule
You can now define days of the week when backups should be run (for example only on Tuesdays and Thursdays), or if a backup should be run the next time the computer starts, if a previous backup could not be run.
